You may be wondering, who is the artist behind the art? Well, here I am! I’m Joycelyn, a self-taught artist who has been creating since I could first hold a pencil. After creating a painting in my high school art class that caught the attention of people throughout my school, they soon began reaching out for my work. That’s when my passion for entrepreneurship began.

I realized creating wasn’t just something I loved, it was something I was called to do. I dared to paint, and in April 2017, DaredtoPaint was born.

Creating brings me joy, and sharing my art allows me to pass that joy on to others. I’m naturally reserved, so I let the art do the talking.

My hope is that every piece leaves you feeling something, whether that’s joy, nostalgia, comfort, or simply a reason to pause. After all, that’s what DaredtoPaint is all about. Creating art worth pausing for.
